The Setting

Private Residence.
Central Wisconsin.

We're gathering at a private residence in Central Wisconsin — one that feels like it was made for a day like this. Beautiful wildflowers, a small pond, open fields, and a clearing in the woods where we'll spend most of our time together, nestled in the trees on cozy grass.

The kind of place where your body starts to soften the moment you step out of the car.

Full location details are shared with registered guests.

What Heals Here

The Medicine

The Modalities
I

Breathwork Journey

Conscious connected breathwork activates your parasympathetic nervous system — moving stored tension and emotion out of the body without needing to think your way through it.

II

Yin Yoga

Long, passive holds stimulate the connective tissue where stress lives — signaling to your nervous system that it's safe to release what it's been gripping.

III

Sound Healing

Sound frequencies entrain the brain into slower, restorative states — the same ones your body enters during deep rest. You don't have to do anything. Just receive.

The Container
IV

Nature

Time in natural settings measurably lowers cortisol, slows heart rate, and activates the parasympathetic nervous system — the same state we spend the whole day cultivating. The land isn't just a backdrop. It's doing its own quiet work on you.

V

Community

Co-regulation is a real physiological phenomenon. When you're held by a safe, attuned group, your nervous system receives a signal it rarely gets: you don't have to hold it all alone. Oxytocin rises. The threat response quiets. You soften in ways that solo practice can't always reach.

Held By

Chrissy & Carissa

Two practitioners. One vision. Twelve women.

They came to these practices through different doors — one through anxiety and burnout, one through a body that refused to be pushed any further. But they arrived at the same place: a deep knowing that the nervous system is the root of it all, and that women deserve more than surface-level wellness.

This retreat exists because they wanted to create the day they both needed. A full, held, beautiful experience — where every element is intentional, and every woman leaves changed.

Chrissy

Chrissy

Kaivalya

Chrissy's path into mindfulness began out of desperation — battling debilitating anxiety and migraines, she walked into a Kundalini studio she never planned to enter and fell in love. The anxiety lifted. The migraines faded. What started as survival became curiosity.

After nearly two decades in a corporate career — ultimately as VP at a software company she helped guide through acquisition — she bought a one-way ticket to India. She lived in monasteries and ashrams, studied with teachers across India, Nepal, Thailand, and Bali, and came back holding 1,000+ hours of certified training across breathwork, meditation, and yoga.

She meets people exactly where they are.

Carissa

SALT

Carissa's approach to wellness is rooted in both lived experience and professional practice. Her college years as a Division I Volleyball Player quickly evolved into a Professional Volleyball career that took her around the world, pushing both her body & mind to their limits. Through those years, she became intimately familiar with the effects of chronic stress & the importance of supporting the nervous system — not just training the body.

A career-ending injury became the catalyst for a different relationship with movement — one grounded in presence & appreciation, rather than performance. That transformation inspired her to create SALT as a gift to her hometown: a space & community designed to redefine the way women experience movement & connect with their bodies.

With 10+ years of experience & certifications in yoga, pilates & various breathwork modalities, Carissa blends evidence-based practices with intuitive facilitation. Her experiences move people beyond survival mode & into peaceful communion with themselves.

What Comes Home With You

5 Weeks of Virtual Integration

The retreat opens the door.
Integration is how you walk through it — and stay there.

In the first randomized controlled trial of Conscious Connected Breathwork for anxiety, participants who practiced CCB over six weeks saw their anxiety scores drop by 10.56 points — compared to just 1.89 in the control group. The effect size was 1.44, which researchers classify as very large. A separate study found that even a single CCB session produced measurable improvements in heart rate variability — one of the most reliable markers of nervous system flexibility and stress resilience.

Before You Ask

A Few Things to Know

I've never done breathwork before. Is this okay?
Absolutely. Most women arrive with zero breathwork experience — and often find it the most meaningful part of the day. Every modality is guided, and you're always welcome to simply rest.

That said, conscious connected breathwork does have a few contraindications, and we want you to feel informed. Please reach out before registering if any of the following apply to you:

Pregnancy · Epilepsy or seizure disorders · Severe cardiovascular conditions · Detached retina or glaucoma · Recent surgery or injury · Severe anxiety or panic disorder · Active psychosis · Certain respiratory conditions

This list isn't meant to alarm — it's meant to take care of you. We're happy to talk through anything. Reach out anytime at hello@kaivalyamovement.com and we'll help you figure out if this day is right for you.
What should I bring or wear?
Comfortable, layered clothing you can move and lie down in — think soft leggings, a cozy layer, maybe a light jacket. We'll share a full packing list with registered guests closer to the date.
What's the refund policy?
All sales are final — this retreat is non-refundable. That said, your spot is fully transferable to another woman at any time. If something comes up, reach out and we'll do our best to help.
Where exactly is the property?
Full location details — including address and parking — are shared with registered guests. It's a private residence in Central Wisconsin, accessible from Wausau and surrounding areas.
Will I know anyone there?
Maybe. Maybe not. What we know is that the women who find their way to a day like this tend to find each other easily. Twelve is intimate enough to feel held, not lost.
